This image was taken on the Hasselblad and I processed and printed myself, I learnt a lot whilst printing this image and enjoyed whole process. I have scanned the image up on to here. It was shot at 1/125 @ f11 ISO 400.

Today I did a dance shoot with Kirsty, afterwards I asked if she would mind me taking a few beauty shots.
I decided to keep the high key lighting of the dance shoot, as I find this aesthetically pleasing with close up shots of the face. I used two large soft boxes at 45 degrees and a beauty dish in front at approx 120 degrees. This ensured a catch light in her eyes. I do however feel it would have been a better shot had it been lower.
1. 1/125 @ F16 ISO 400. The original image.
2. 1/125 @ F16 ISO 400> The edited final image. I adjusted white balance, to give a slight tungston look and a more natural pale skin tone and edited slightly in lightroom.

Today I did a photoshoot with Rob and Zander. I used both my 40D and the Hasselblad. Between us we decided to use the back room of Robs house. It's very light and open, I was anticipating a high key lit image. However since I was there last he has redecorated the room so I thought I would make us of the great print of the wallpaper and the material of the sheer curtains. We had an idea of using his many hats in the portraits. I thought that would be good because like me he always has a hat on his head!
1. 1/25 @ F5.6 ISO 400. This image is adjusted slightly in Lightroom. Whitebalance adjusted, cropped.
2. 1/15 @ F5.6 ISO 400. Cropped and adjusted wb in LR.
3. 1/15 @F5.6 ISO 400. Slight adjustment and crop in LR.
4. 1/25 @F5.6 ISO 400. Adjustments made in LR. Cropped, converted to black and white.
5. 1/25 @ F5.6 ISO 400. Slight adjustments in LR, crop and white balance.
I wanted to do some shots with Zander, who unfortunately is ill at the moment. He was tired when it was time to do his shots (although the sweetheart perked right up with the mention of a walk!). Because of this we thought it would be nice to get some shots of the two of them chilling out.
These are two of my favourite images, each also converted to black and white.
6. 1/20 @ F4 ISO 400. Original image cropped and adjusted slightly in LR.
7. 1/20 @ F4 ISO 400. Original converted to black and white.
8. 1/20 @ F4 ISO 400. Adjusted and cropped in LR.
9. 1/20 @ F4 ISO 400. Adjusted and cropped in LR, converted to black and white.
I think the stronger images are the black and white ones, especially of Rob and Zander together.

Weekly *Monthly* Picture Project
Four Faces.
Face filled frame, can be themed, single or individual images, can fit any category of People assignment. Do NOT use any extreme treatment, keep it simple as possible.
I had been hoping to achieve this in New York, however I do not feel the images I produced work together and even though that is not a required I would like that from my images.
My next idea is a soft, simple and clean looking portrait, minimal make-up and hair pulled back. Shot using natural light.
The four faces of the Tatlow family. Mum, Dad, myself and my sister.
Final Image
All images were shot on 1/160 @ F2.8 ISO 400. Slight adjustments in LightRoom. Deliberately over exposed to give a high key lighting look even though natural daylight was used.

Whilst in New York I have been trying to master street photography, unsuccessfully so far. There is one photograph I have taken that in my mind has stood out. It is not great technically, it was a point and shoot quickly situation so my camera wasn't on the right setting, there is also a lot of movement on the face which I'm not happy about. I do however feel it is very Americana. The man in his hockey jersey, starbucks over his shoulder and a limo behind him. He looks very sad and defeated, if you look carefully you can see a sign over his shoulder saying Life Happens. I think it is fitting to his demeanor.
1. 1/160 F5.6 ISO 320. Original image, cropped slightly.
This next photograph was a true shoot from the hip image. I was very disappointed to find I had cut off there feet.
2. 1/160 @ F6.3 ISO 320. Original image cropped slightly.
3. 1/160 @ F6.3 ISO 320. Edited to black and white.
This next image was taken in Coney Island. I liked the fact that there are two couple sat opposite ways, each enjoying there own view and each others company.
4. 1/320 @ F9 ISO 250. Original image cropped slightly>
